 Richard Sheaff at Washington 2006 Since 1983, Richard Sheaff has been a design consultant to the Citizens Stamp Advisory Committee, and, in that capacity has been |
responsible for the design or art direction of more than 300 released U.S. postage stamps. As an art director, he has directed and supervised designers, illustrators, researchers, and production personnel. In addition, Sheaff has been involved in the design and project management of stamp-related publications, children's books, retail packaging, and a national direct mail catalog. President of R. Dana Sheaff & Company, Sheaff also serves as its creative consultant and provides a variety of communication services-marketing strategy development; creative direction; project management; publication and collateral design; graphic design-to corporations and institutions. He also directs and supervises copywriting, photography, and illustration services. Clients have included the Bank of Boston; Dartmouth College; Harvard Business School; the Ephemera Society of America; Houghton Mifflin; the White House; and Syracuse University, his alma mater.
